I tried the “Stocks Under $10.00 and discovered that you can only access it on two computers. The way I found out was this message:

“We are unable to provide access to this TheStreet.com Stocks Under $10 Alert at the computer you are using. Our security measures ensure that each alert can only be accessed at two computers and that this limit has been reached. In order to view this TheStreet.com Stocks Under $10 Alert, please return to your original computer.”

I have since discontinued the service due to the archaic system that they use and lack of response from their tech center. Who wants to be tied to only two computers? I have one at home that I use, one at work and a portable that I take on the road. It makes staying abreast of the news impossible.

I did write a letter to their techs complaining about my problems; in addition I am unable to figure out what computer I must go back to? So far I have not received an answer and the letter was sent 12/28/05. My suggestion is to stay far away from that site until they get it straightened out.

For all of you that read this post regarding the Jim Cramer's "Action Alerts Plus Service" for $399.95 per year - be very careful!! Their refund policy is that there is NO REFUND after 30 days - not even a pro-rata refund. This is not clearly stated on their link to "Terms of Use" on the info page for the AAP - in fact, the link for the TOU is an entirely different contract than the link to the TOU AFTER you have already paid and joined the AAP service!! So, be very careful about joining as they are brutal in their returns and more specifically their attitude on the phone. I have had big problems with their customer service?? supervisor - a "Tiffany Rankin" and have to involve my credit card dispute service as this seems to be the only way for me to receive some money back.
