When I was 19 I bought a house using a FHA loan. 1 year later it was forclosed. During that year I got married, had a baby, and lost my job. My name was the only name on the loan/house. It has been 1 year since it was forclosed. Is there anything I can do to fix my credit or better yet get it off of my credit? My husband and I despratley want to buy a house now. We have 2 boys now and are renting a very small apartment. Help!!!!

There are some companies that say they can remove a foreclosure from your credit report, but we have witnessed this happen in real life.

The foreclosure will hurt you from purchase a home for another 2 to 3 years. Have you done anything to reestablish your credit?

Maybe another option is to see if your husband will qualify for the mortgage on his own?

About two years ago had forclosure and BK removed from my credit. Not on all three CRA's but two credit beureas deleted BK from my report and one deleted BK from my DH's so from my own personal experience, it can be done. Maybe a little hope for people out there.
