Commercial Mortgage

A commercial mortgage is a loan made on real estate collateral,other than a residential property in which a mortgage
is given to secure the payment of principal or interest.

A commercial mortgage is similar to residential mortgage,except that the collateral is not a residence but
a commercial building or other business real estate.

Common applications of commercial mortgage includes construction of a new building,modification of facilities or expansion
of facilities.

Interest rates are usually higher than for a mortgage over residential property.

The most common variant of commercial mortgage is a fixed rate commercial mortgage where the interest rate remains
constant through out the term.
