need money for foreclosure cost

We have enough to pay our past due, but we need $4,000 extra to pay for attorney fees and costs. Attorney won't taken anything less than the past due and fees to reinstate loan. Our house was appraised at $95,000 9 years ago in Patterson, Louisiana (St. Mary Parish). We owe $52,000 left on our mortgage. A house in our neighborhood just sold for $87,000--which 9 years ago was valued at about $65,000. Our credit score is horrible at this time. Is there any hope to save our house. We just got served today with a closing date of August 3. If we do not pay within 3 days, the house will be posted in the paper for public auction.

Sorry, it's not a closing date of August 3rd...it's a sale date of August 3rd. Hope it's not too late to save our home (and face!)
