| Greetings, I have been reading for a while but have a newbie question.
DH has been employee in same field for nearly 20 years but is seeking contracting instead of employement so my question is;
What will a lender require in the application phase of a new mortgage if he goes contractor instead of employment?
Thank you in advance for any advice on this.

| It will depend on the credit score. Which state are you looking to buy in?
