Jim Cramer suggested a coal play. The reasons why are demand related. Coal is the cheapest fossil fuel and coal is used to produce 50% of the electricity in North America.
There is simply not enough ways to transport coal so demand should stay strong.
For the best of bread coal play, Peabody Energy Corp (BTU) is the one. They are sitting on a 50 year supply of some really high grade coal.
BTU was trading at $63.74 as of the market close of 8/25/2005 |
