| My introduction to Jim Cramer was his recently released book, Jim Cramer's Real Money: Sane Investing in an Insane World
I really enjoyed reading this stock investment book. Cramer is great at debunking the old buy-and-hold investment strategy.
He promotes buy and homework. Which simply means you should devote at least one hour per week per stock for keeping up with the news surrounding that company.
This book is a good primer on business cycles, the fed, picking tops and bottoms.
The book also gives some good tips on which companies to look for which may make huge movements in the near future.
I also like the fact that he allows up to 20% of your discretionary portfolio to be in speculative position. From my experience these are the stock picks that offer the biggest rewards. |
